Happy Halloween!! (10.31.14)

Although we were encouraged to take Evra trick-or-treating, we opted not to do so this year (as it would seem, quite rightly, that all of the candy was going to her parents...); however, we did dress her up for the holiday.  We had an adorable mouse costume passed down from Ailia, and it fit Evra perfectly.  The mouse costume was perfect for Evra, too, as she is constantly squeaking and squawking like a little mouse...

Evra wasn't super excited about wearing her costume.  In fact, she tends to hate wearing hats in general.  I thought these pictures were ironic, given that her shirt says "You make me happy..."

Go Giants!!! (10.29.14)

Cheering on the Giants in their Game 7 victory in the World Series!!  Woohoooo!!  Hopefully the first World Series victory of many more to come...

Evra doesn't actually have any Giants gear, so she was sporting a skeleton onesie (which glows in the dark!) and an orange headband.  Close enough...

"I'm a big girl now!!" (10.28.14)

Today marked a big day for Evra.  She officially graduated from newborn diapers to size 1 diapers!!  While the size 1 diapers still seem a bit big, she is moving up in the world!  =)

Today was a very sad day for me, Mike, and Evra.  Our amazing friends (practically family...) Jen and Terry Ferkel moved to Arizona this morning.  From our very first day in California, we knew that we were incredibly lucky to have them in our lives.  It's ironic that our relationship started with a UHaul (Mike and I pulling in) and ended with a UHaul (Terry and Jen pulling out).  The move is bitter-sweet.  We are so very sad that they are leaving, but so happy for the next stage in their lives (and the fact that Terry is officially retired - woohooo!!).  But this is not "goodbye," just "see you later."  We are already planning our trip to Arizona...
