Visit to the yurt (3.15.15)

Our second trip to the yurt was much more successful than the first.  Learning from our mistakes, we decided not to camp out overnight, but instead to go for a hike during the day.  The weather was gorgeous, the land was actually green (amazing!), and Evra seemed to have a great time.

Hiking with Daddy.  A big tree fell in the middle of the road to the top.  Not a big deal, since our car doesn't have four wheel drive and we couldn't make it to the top in it anyways...

Visit to Paso! (3.14.15)

Hanging out with Mommy, Daddo, Auntie Priya, and Uncle Vimal in Paso Robles.  Weather was beautiful, so Evra got to break out some of her cute spring dresses!

Evra hanging out with her two favorite guys!  And Mason has been super patient and tolerant with Evra, which is great.  He was definitely trying to pull away most of the time, but it's a good start!

Happy six month, Evra! (3.10.15)

Evra is already a half-year old today.  Six months.  One hundred and eighty one days.  Four thousand, three hundred and forty four hours.  Two hundred sixty thousand, six hundred and forty minutes. Fifteen million, six hundred thirty eight thousand, four hundred seconds.  If you look at it that way, it seems like forever.  But looking back on it, it seems like just an instant.  Time has literally flown by and our little baby is now a half of a year old.  And she's not so little anymore.  I can't believe that time has gone by so fast.  It's been wonderful.  It's been tough and nearly unbearable.  And it's been everything in between (but definitely leaning more strongly towards the wonderful end of the spectrum...).  Happy half-birthday sweet girl!  We love you more than you can imagine!!  We are very excited to see what the next half-year brings (we just hope it doesn't go by quite so quickly...)!

Likes:
- Cuddling with her Lovie.

- Playing with Sophie.

- Stroller rides and runs with Mommy, Daddy, and Mason.
- Hanging out with her cousins!
- Bath time.
- Smiling and giggling.

- Reading books.

Dislikes:
- Being tired.

Skills:
- Evra can now sit on her own for a very short (we are talking 1-2 seconds here) period of time!  Then she topples over.  It's quite entertaining to watch...

- Grabbing and holding on to everything.  And then putting it in her mouth.  She literally puts everything in her mouth...

- Smiling so big that it takes over her entire face!

- Giggling all the time.  It's amazing!
- Explosive poops.

Six month milestones:

- Eating more solid foods!  Evra has now had sweet potato, squash, kale, peas, and leeks.  Mommy might actually let her try something sweet in the next month...
- Swinging in a real swing for the first time.
- Spending time with her new baby cousin, Olivia.

To pacifier or not to pacifier... (3.9.15)

That is a good question.  Evra doesn't really take a pacifier.  We tried again tonight, and she kept it in for a total of approximately thirty seconds.  We are pretty sure that she preferred to just bite on it and play around with it in her hands...

One of the brief periods of time where she actually kept the pacifier in her mouth...

Swinging at the park! (3.8.15)

Hanging out in the jumperoo.  She seemed to enjoy it a lot more this time.  Evra is actually starting to learn how to push off and jump around in the chair, as well as play with all of the different toys.
